We invite you to join us and a small group of women for a special little weekend PILGRIMAGE with two big mercy saints - St. Therese and St. Faustina.

“In fact, the two saints are amazingly similar in their message and, in my opinion, are the best guides for helping people to see everything through a lens of mercy. They truly are the great apostles of mercy of our time.”

- Fr. Michael Gaitley, Director of the Marian Missionaries of Divine Mercy

Friday, August 25 – Sunday, August 27

National Shrine of St. Therese (just outside of Chicago)

Departing from (7am on Friday) Minneapolis and  returning back (at 7pm) on Sunday

image_with_portrait_2As we depart Friday on St. Faustina’s birthday, we’ll celebrate how this great apostle of Divine Mercy gifted us with this special devotion.

We’ll spend two nights at the Carmelite Spiritual Center near St. Therese’s shrine and museum. The museum, which is a rich treasury of relics and memorabilia of St. Therese, is the largest collection outside Lisieux, France, the home of her convent, Le Carmel. The National Shrine Museum of St. Therese is situated on the Carmelite Campus in Darien, Illinois, a 40-acre property that is also home to the Carmelite Meditation Garden and Spiritual Center, where we’ll be staying.

therese3We’ll learn more about this saint’s divine heart and why St. Therese is declared a Doctor of the Church guiding us with her vocation of love by using the “little way,” a simple spirituality with childlike trust in God. You’ll have your own pilgrimage of the heart inspired by her openness to Divine Love and her offering to Merciful Love.

We’ll go to mass and have chapel services together.  You’ll be inspired by a variety of presentations around these two saints and their spirituality surrounding Merciful Love. There will also be plenty of free time to explore the beautiful facilities and mediation garden.

Check back soon for a more detailed agenda of the weekend.
